Well this is odd. It's happened again today. I played Minecraft at ~18:45 and now it's ~22:30 and it's broken. No reboot inbetween, however I logged out and back in inbetween at ~19:15.
I did some updates earlier (lunch time).. http://paste.ubuntu.com/6922587/ which includes some xorg packages.
