Public bug reported: Some drivers like http://www.eeti.com.tw/drivers_Linux.html do a X -version to determine the X version. Unluckily this is not allowed by the Xorg-wrapper ("only allowed by console users") May I ask that if the only parameter is "-version", either the /usr/bin/Xorg script doesn't use the wrapper, or the wrapper allows the usage?
After "hackfixing" this this driver (and aspecially the calibration tool) is working very well. ** Affects: xorg-server (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1805733 Title: Even xorg -version is not allowed by non console users (caused by the wrapper) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/1805733/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
