I would be interested to know if upping the AGPSize helps for everybody here, that is, use an xorg.conf with only this (on otherwise default packages of course):
Section "Device" Identifier "my-radeon" Driver "ati" Option "AGPSize" "32" EndSection The default size is 8 for R100/R200 and 32 for R300 and up. You can try 16,32,64,128,256 at the expense of reserved system memory, so if you are tight on RAM I would recommend to just go as high as you need. -- (Needs KMS) Background and full screen apps don't show up when Normal Visual Effects on (Radeon 7500) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/444139 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is the registrant for xserver-xorg-driver-ati. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
