I think the VGA1 is not what should be connected. You should have had a DVI1 and a DVI2. If you only connect one monitor, is it detected regardless of which DVI output is used?
Also, could you test with the newest mainline kernel build (currently 2.6.32-rc7) from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline (more information at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelTeam/MainlineBuilds)? We would appreciate Xorg.0.log and output of dmesg and xrandr --verbose for all test cases. ** Tags added: 945gme karmic -- Using Intel 945GME, only 1 of 2 displays is detected & configurable, dual-head not possible https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/480181 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
