Here is 2 bugs reported in one bug report! First one is GPU hang which is hard to fix. The best bet is to try newer driver version if problem is fixed there. https://launchpad.net/~xorg-edgers/+archive/ppa and https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelTeam/MainlineBuilds are providing the the latest version of the driver.
