I'm also affected by this bug. With a different Intel videochip: the Intel 915.
These are the hardware specifications of my laptop: Sony Vaio VGN-BX296VP Pentium M 1,6 Ghz 1 Gb RAM Intel 915 chipset (using 256 MB shared memory) 15,4 inch screen Unfortunately, I can't test the PPA fix, because I don't have any graphical display. This is what I tried: - booting the LiveCD: after the initial screen, nothing. - Upgrading the existing 9.10 to 10.04. After the succesful upgrade: both normal boot and Recovery Mode don't give any graphical display at all. - Trying to boot with different VGA and VESA display modes as boot parameters. No avail. ** Changed in: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Confirmed -- [i945] [i945] [lucid] intel gma 82945G displays nothing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/512128 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
