I have the same problem with my notebook with an ATI Xpress 200M videocard. The
only difference is - my screen corruptions are coloured.
Sometimes I see this bug when I am watching a video with an Gnome MPlayer and
switching to another window (or just moving a cursor), sometimes it happens
when I use a Firefox with a flash and with NoScript turned on. Sometimes this
bug happens as soon as I log in. So, I don't know the reason of it and I can't
tell you the steps to reproduce this issue.

Ubuntu 10.10 amd64, updated from 10.04 LTS. All available updates are
installed, including the latest video drivers from Ubuntu x-swat PPA.
