Audacity doesn't work with pulse audio. I have the "perfectsetup" for pulse audio using the guide on perfect setup.
There is no other audio editor for linux that I Know of. If you know any that works with pulse, please add as an comment. thank you. This is Beyond Annoying that a basic function of providing sound/audio of an operating system is not met by Ubuntu. And, I mean a WORKING audio that doesn't require a user to fix to make it work. I believe this opinion is worth mentioning here as a way to convey some common sense to the developers: Make basic things work-out-of-box! like system-wide sound. Until you do, Bug +1 shouldn't be about microsoft; instead, it should be "make basic things work-out-of-box".
