Ubuntu 8.10 (intrepid) Kernel 2.6.27-9-generic GNOME 2.24.1 Inkscape 0.46, built Oct 24 2008
The problem exists, if the Compiz runs. If does not run, inkscape onto a full screen which cannot be claimed. There is not a change unfortunately.
