If you installed SqueezeCenter from the .deb (package) install, then it should have created a user and group for squeezecenter, if I'm not mistaken. I work in command-line world when it comes to Linux, so I don't know if the Users and Groups view in Ubuntu might hide anything.
Brute force trick would be to open an xterm, cd to your music folder and type: sudo chmod -R a+rwX * If that makes the files visible to SqueezeCenter, then permissions are the issue, and you can either leave it wide open from the above command, or work out the right way to limit it for your needs. -k -- kdf ------------------------------------------------------------------------ kdf's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=45918 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
