I downgraded to ubuntu 8.04.2 LTS to fix this problem. After an initial scan the album view was fine. I made some changes to the settings including interface: show artists with albums (enabled) and show year with albums (enabled). Suddenly the album view was now broken. I've switched back the artists option and am rescanning.
Do I have a bad artist tag somewhere that's breaking this view? The scanner log doesn't show it. Where else can I look? I've got a large 84k library.
