The corruption I mention could be either a SD card corruption or a
filesystem corruption - I'm just exploring the possibilities for
eliminating the risks.
Maybe I'll soon run into the limitations of the Pi Zero, but I'm
planning to run the clients/servers on this configuration:
Pi Zero + 32 GB card + Wifi dongle + DAC HAT (+ IR receiver soldered
directly on pcb, not started experimenting with that).
I have a little less than 5.000 tracks (mostly AAC), and at the moment
I'm not particularly interested in the artwork.
When 32GB or the RAM becomes a limitation I could split the database to
two or more servers, eg. classical/rock, at the moment classical is 1/3
of the tracks.
Would soft links to a RAM fs for the most frequently changed files be
the easiest way to experiment further?
