Yes.
But putting the same data inside the pCP file system does not make it
much more secure.

I assume that you could replace the plain text passphrase with a hash by
using wpa_passphrase (I have done that on Raspbian but never tried on
pCP) - however all that is doing is preventing someone from knowing your
passphrase but not stopping them from using it ... so you would have to
change your passphrase frequently which I suspect is more difficult task
in a domestic situation.
