The producer and consumer are executed on the same machine, but in different processes. Our group has extended the performance test in several ways, so you can see some unusual properties in the files. But the official performance test should ignore the unusual properties and hopefully work the same way. Anyway, it is no problem for me to arrange a remote desktop + skype session. I am using non-persistent messages and (if I understand it right) they are supposed to be stored in the temp storage when the heap memory for the queue is full.
