Hi, that should work when Postfix retries.
When aox sees that a transaction is taking unreasonably long, it runs a query on another connection to spot any locking problems, and that query looks at pg_stat_activity.current_query, which I suppose the postgres maintainers may have renamed. What version of postgres are you using?
