What you are missing is that HTTP is not designed for AV streaming. You need something like Helix Server or Darwin Streaming Server to do the streaming. These implement other protocols that offer all kinds of adaptive mechanisms to deal with the absurdity of trying to run an isochronous medium over a packet switching network.
