Exactly what tool on what OS on what Mac are you using? Make sure the chain is properly terminated and their IDs don't collide. >Norton reports that the drive is not HFS. That's kindof a 'well duh'. If the Mac is reporting "no disc" somewhere then Norton certainly can't sniff enough to be able to tell what file system is on what volume.
