The SCSI id is set on the hard drive itself, usually by jumpers on the back or bottom. It's in binary, and I have always found it confuzing... No jumpers on it means ID 0. If your 610 still has the factory settings, the HD in it should be set to ID 0.

Do you have an OS Disk/Floppy with disk tools, try verifying and repairing the HDD, If this don't work you may need to re-install the OS via re-formatting the HDD. If you are in need of another HDD, I have a 250Mb SCSI HDD i'm not using. I also have a centris 610 on my web site  www.wizardtechs.com.
