Technically, the very original 128k Mac startup disks had a System file
of "Version .97 14-Jan-84.". The Guided Tour disk that came with it came
with 0.85, though it isn't normally accessible.

There was a page about a lot of very early stuff at
http://school.anhb.uwa.edu.au/personalpages/kwessen/web/stories/EarlyMacStories.html

, but it appears to be unreachable at the moment. There's a google cache
of it at:

http://bit.ly/4ZzjcP

but it's missing some stuff. There's another interesting page at
http://homepage.mac.com/chinesemac/earlymacs/ about early stuff.
