If that works for you, go for it. -----Original Message----- From: viphone@googlegroups.com [mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Shirley Healy Sent: Wednesday, May 13, 2020 4:42 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: Re: swiping up to go to home
I might have to try the assistive touch method, I am having a lot of problems with the swiping, I am not used ot it, I know it takes practice and I will practice it over the next little while. But setting up the assistive touch might be the way to go. shirley ----- Original Message ----- From: "Carolyn" <4carol...@windstream.net> To: <viphone@googlegroups.com> Sent: Wednesday, May 13, 2020 9:29 PM Subject: RE: swiping up to go to home Shirley, you just use one finger to swipe up. I use my right index finger. You place it on the bottom of your screen and swipe until you get this kind of pop. VOILA, Home Page. If you go for another pop, Ap Switcher. Coming down from the top, place finger at the top of the screen; first pop is Control Center; second one is Notifications. On another list, a savvy user posted the way to do with the new phones. I read her post over and over, did not try to learn it, just read it over and over for absorbtion. When I got my new phone, my husband was astounded. I never had a second's worth of a problem. Someone, I think on this list, said that you could go to Settings to Assistive Touch, activate it, and it would make the phone work like it had a button at the bottom. I can see how that could work for Home Page and Ap Switcher, but, you'd just have to use the old way, as you can anyway, even without Assistive Touch to get to Control Center or Notifications. -----Original Message----- From: viphone@googlegroups.com [mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Shirley Healy Sent: Wednesday, May 13, 2020 2:04 PM To: ViPhone <viphone@googlegroups.com> Subject: swiping up to go to home I just got the IPhone x. I am not used to not having a home button. Can someone guide me on what is the best way to swipe to access it? I'm not really good at swiping, as usually with my old phone I did everything manually and I didnt swipe much. Its telling me to swipe from the bottom of the screen upwards, until I hear it vibrate once. how many fingers do I use to swipe, and how fast do I swipe the screen? shirley -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list.
