My experience with JAWS and Windows is different then yours. I too used
JAWS with spread sheets, documents and presentations, both in MS Office
and Symphony. I used Lotus Notes and Thunderbird for my email clients. I
used both Firefox and IE as browsers and would also have double digit
tabs opened in each. I used Lotus Sametime with often more than a dozen
conversations up at any one time. I also used a slew of miscellaneous
applications, like Teraterm, NoteTab and so on. I obviously can't say I
didn't have problems, but for the most part it was rock solid. I
typically just used suspend and hibernate during the week, and I would
have to schedule time on the weekend to close everything up and do some
routine system maintenance. Otherwise, the system and JAWS would run for
weeks continuously with no problems. Obviously, this is just my personal
anecdotal experience. I also don't remember waiting for Vista or Windows
7 support, but I didn't jump on those as soon as they were out either.
