Have you looked at Safari preferences. There is an option to block

Yes ,
First check in the drop down menu under Safari on the top line there
is a spot there to block pop up's
then go Safari - preferences - security
under web content you can check boxes to enable plugins , enable
Java , enable javascript , block pop up windows
also
Accept cookies.... always, never, only from sites I visit .
Set them to produce your result ... BUT
if you do not succeed with Safari you may have to try with Firefox
Good luck

Hi All
Firstly, thanks to Bob Howells and Ronni for your help with my
downloading
Camera raws by time that photo was taken. I was taking the options
in Bridge
too literally ie Sort by Date. I assumed this was ONLY by date and
did not
include Time. Der.... Thanks - all is good now.
My new query is to do with accessing Student Connect at UWA. My
daughter
wishes to check her online application. We get to the fist step but
it says
we may have javascript & cookies blocked. It then allows us to
check whether
this is so - which we have done and were told NO we don't have them
blocked.
Apparently a new window should then open but we get nothing. Can
someone
please tell me how to check my cookies etc? I have gone to System
Preferences - Security, but can't see them there. Any help
gratefully
appreciated.
This is the message on the UWA site:
Online Course Applications
The online application pages will open in a new browser window.
If the window does not appear, please ensure that your browser has
javascript and cookies enabled, and is not set to block popup
windows. To
check if your browser allows javascript and pop-up windows, click
here. A
new window should appear.
