Hi Bill, I see your point but consider the positive aspect of Peter’s comments. “some rough edges have been polished off”.
Perhaps your issues with Mavericks may be rectified by upgrading to Yosemite ! I am just guessing but I reckon that’s what I would do in your circumstances.
