Hi Tony,
My wife and I only watch a couple each month.
We use Apple TV and hire from iTunes.
I only download the SD version because it downloads faster and uses less of our 
internet bandwidth.
It also costs less to hire than the HD version (generally $3.99 or $4.99).
Not much point us paying $8.00 per month for Netflix.
