I had a look into how to fix this, this change (on my somewhat edited copy of the script) seems to work to prevent it from trying to load descriptions for anything other than items.
I tested it against searches in the main namespace, property namespace and Wikidata namespace and now only get generated descriptions on the first link.
I did try removing the "Property:" prefix (see this diff) so that it can generate descriptions for properties, but I don't think the results are helpful, e.g. for "Facebook ID" (P2013) the generated description is "Wikidata property for authority control for people and Wikidata property for authority control for organisations", so I would suggest limiting it to items for now.
I'm not able to edit either version though. @Magnus: Could you have a look?
