Hey Everyone ... we really are announcing .... 

We would all like to see an increase in the number of freely available Witango components--it fosters community, supports us and encourages us all to build better solutions with quality code.

Here is the opportunity, and now is the time!

Contest Info and Rules:
New Creation Consulting, North American distributor for Witango together with Witango Technologies Inc. are offering you the chance to show your stuff PLUS reward you with valuable Witango prizes too.

Here’s how it works. Simply submit your entry* to gwcc.witango.ncol.com. Enter as often as you wish. Our panel of judges will evaluate each entry based on the criteria below to pick the winners. And best of all, it’s a great way to share quality code with the community and get people excited about Witango!

Judging Criteria

Usefulness: How useful will the component be to Witango developers.
Ease of Use: How easy is it to use the component.
Quality of Code: Is it well formed, documented, and Bug Free.
More: Additional consideration will go to originality, use of Witango v5 features and coding innovation.
   
Contest Date
The contest opens July 15th, 2003.
The submission deadline is September 15th, 2003.

Eligible Entries
Entry Criteria

Original work only will be accepted.
Files may not be write protected.
Submitted files must be able to run on Witango v5 Server
Entries will be submitted in a single ZIP file. This file will contain your TAF and supporting files such as TCFs, _javascript_, CSS, Flash, XML or XSLT, datafiles, etc., as well as the supporting documentation. A URL must be supplied where the judges can view the application running. (IP Addresses are OK.)
Documentation must describe the purpose and function of the entry and be sufficient to set-up and run the application files.

Entries may be accepted from any Witango developer except staff of NCOL or any of the contest judges.

Release
All entries become public domain and will be made available for posting on participating Witango component zones.

Judging

A panel will judge all entries. Panel members include:

Decisions of the panel will be final.

Prizes

Prizes will be awarded at the Witango Developers Conference, San Diego, CA.
Prizes will consist of:
One first prize: Witango Standard Server for Windows or OS X
  One second prize: Witango Developer Studio for Windows or OS X

Fine Print

Prizes will be accepted as awarded. There is no cash equivalent.
Prizes unclaimed within 30 days of the award date will be awarded to a charity to be chosen NCOL.
