I was comparing sizes for a Release build.  The big difference was, 
indeed, having included the stuff in wsjtx.rc.

I had wondered, anyway, if there was any good reason to include that 
file in the builds of the command-line executables jt9, jt9sim, 
jt65code, jt9code, jt4code (as well as wsprd).  Should it be omitted?
