I don't think one dedicated message button (such as 'RR73') will work for
everyone's purpose.
I use this method to answer stations calling CQ with JT65A on HF:
CQ Response
-- -------------
CQ W1AW FN31
W1AW W5ADD -10
W5ADD W1AW R-12
W1AW RRTU 73 [CW ID] (or W1AW RRTU73, as space permits)
W5ADD W1AW 73
I don't see the need to exchange grid squares on HF terrestrial, and 2.3
seconds is certainly not enough time to use it to change beam heading.
About 94% of the time everyone 'gets it', especially because double-clicking is
the safe and fast way to respond to a caller. About 6% don't get it and send
W5ADD W1AW R-12 again, in which case I repeat W1AW RRTU 73.
Maybe 1 in 300 send UR GRID PSE, so I accomodate those ops.
All of the above messages trigger the correct voice alert ("Calling You") in
JTAlert.
Again, this is only for JT65A on HF.
So just one 'RR73' button may not be the solution.
