Hi Jeff,

You're perfectly right, if cpan -I Wx works, use it.  Also you can use Perl
Package Manager (does it exist on Mac?).  And on Linux you can use apt-get
or whatever comes with your dist.

But sometimes it doesn't for various reasons.  I've had difficulties with
MediaCtrl, which I needed.  And other people have had other dependencies
that don't work.  If you want a specific mix of versions, or whatever.

I also use a customised wxWidgets, which I need to build first.
