>From yesterday's pm session of General Conference:

As members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, what does
the Lord expect of us? As a Church, we must "renounce war and proclaim
peace." As individuals, we should "follow after the things which make
for peace." We should be personal peacemakers. We should live peacefully
– as couples, fami-lies, and neighbours. We should live by the Golden
Rule.

Elder Russell M. Nelson
Quorum of the Twelve Apostles

>From this morning's session:

I know a so-called intellectual who claims we are 'trapped by our
history.' But without that history we wouldn't be where we are now...we
invite all people to bring what they have that is good and true and add
unto it.

President Gordon B. Hinckley

"The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high
and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our
mark."
--Michelangelo Buonarroti
