As I biked home from a meeting in downtown Ithaca at 8pm I heard northbound
Canada Geese fairly low. Between 10 & 11 pm Laurie & I went for a walk on the
path in Cass Park. (It was a bit disorienting to be walking on bare pavement
rather than cross-country skiing.) As I hoped, several times I heard northbound
Canada Geese and Snow Geese overhead despite a few drops of rain. With some
difficulty I was able to discern a few Snow Geese from my yard, which is a very
noisy location among busy (wet) roads, bridges, a nearby small but full-running
stream & waterfall, plus much of it is elevated enough to pick up sirens
anywhere downtown.
