Indeed.

One of the most amazing programmers I ever worked with was a graduate of the 
Berklee School of Music.  And two other quite competent computer people I know 
had Conservatory of Music degrees in piano performance.

(Then again, I had a classmate who was taking a double major: math and music 
composition...)
