Had my air conditioner intake plug a few times when in a slip in a stagnant corner of a marina where trash accumulated. Things stuck in the elbow on top of the thru hull. I have a tee with garden hose hookup and a valve on the discharge so I can blow it out.
Contributory to the problem was it was a street elbow. I have since switched it to a long elbow. Like your situation, the boat was not moving. -- Dennis C.
