------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-15-09 18:46 -------
I have tried a workaround to get the LIDIL devices installable by printerdrake.
Please do the following to test it:

As usual, remove all print queues with printerdrake, delete all
/etc/ptal/mlc* files, stop HPOJ, power-cycle the device and reboot.

Then do (as root):

pushd /usr/lib/libDrakX/printer/
mv main.pm main.pm.orig2
wget http://www.linuxprinting.org/till/tmp/main.pm
popd

Note that I have uploaded a new version of main.pm now.

Now run printerdrake again and see whether your device will be correctly configured.

If it does not work, proceed as I told in my last comment (stop HPOJ, "rmmod
printer", start HPOJ, and try again, restart CUPS, try again, "PTAL_DEBUG=255
scanimage -L", post all messages).

I just added a HP PSC 1210 muti-funtion printer to my system. Every time I run
printerdrake, it adds another instance of that model to the list of printers.
So if I run it three times, I get a list of three HP PSC 1210's connected to my
system.
