Can you launch any other gtk2 application or is it only with mozilla?
I have the same problem with mozilla (no error message) but I have a
bigger problem with all gtk2 and qt applications too (with error
messages for symbols). Maybe it's related.

I updated my PC (Celeron 1.3Ghz, 512Mb RAM, Geforce2) running Mandrake Linux
9.1 plus all the updates.

It was running Mozilla 1.3.1 with flash plugin and java plugin.

After the update, I cannot launch mozilla. I have no error when I run it from
the command line.

The version of mozilla installed is:
Mozilla 1.4, Copyright (c) 2003 mozilla.org, build 2003063000

I moved my .mozilla directory but it did not solve the problem.
