Don't try to use gnome-terminal to check your fonts, it uses non standard technique to get them.. Use gedit instead.. Try running : gconftool-2 -u /desktop/gnome/interface/font_name /desktop/gnome/interface/monospace_font_name to reset fonts to known working names.. -- Frédéric Crozat MandrakeSoft
