I just gave a quick look to my saved config files when I was testing this, and
it looks liek the checkbox in drakconnect for "Assign hostname from DHCP
address" affects this config file entry. If I set that checkbox on, I would
get NEEDHOSTNAME=yes, if I set it off, I would get NEEDHOSTNAME=no.
Regardless of that entry, my hostname was still set to the dhcp server
assigned name. Did this actually work for you? Perhaps you also need a
HOSTNAME entry, which drakconnect does not set, in addition to DHCP_HOSTNAME
in the same file.

When I configure my network during rc1 installation, no matter what hostname I enter
when configuring dhcp, the computer uses dhcppc8, which I assume is being assigned by
the dhcp server. The address being assigned by the server is 192.168.0.9. Why ask
for a hostname if it will not be used in the configuration files permanently?
