Dear Maintainer, It's not possible to PXE boot in QEMU at all. When we choose --pxe option in virt-install (or virt-manager), the machine moves to a paused state immediately after the 'starting PXE rom execution...' message appears. More information can be found here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/qemu/+bug/1623276/ As mentioned at the link above, build a new version from git (http://lists.ipxe.org/pipermail/ipxe-devel/2016-November/005244.html) solves the problem.
