>From the reference shown by Charles Malaheenee which you trimmed ( http://lists.ipxe.org/pipermail/ipxe-devel/2016-November/005244.html ) it is clear that the prob is within ipxe, which included a workaround for tivoli virtual machine unconditionally, which resulted in these crashes. I'm not exactly sure why updating qemu triggers this issue, while it should be ipxe. And I still don't have netboot-capable test environment to verify this. Thanks, /mjt
