Hi
I just updated/upgraded my fresh etch and I got this bug from
initramfs-tools. If I upgrade I can't boot anymore.
I read on the mailing archive that it has been fixed, but I still got the
bug.
please post the errorr message when you get dropped into busybox.
are you using grub or lilo?
what are the following cmds giving in busybox:
uname -a
cat /proc/cmdline
cat /proc/modules
The error message is :

And I got BusyBox.
I have no exernal or scsi disks.
is the relevant kernel module loaded? do you see the device /dev/hda
I'm using Debian Etch Netinst Beta2 on a Via SP13000 motherboard with an
IDE HDD.
I hope someone can find a solution
if you are using the wrong combination of udev and initramfs-tools
and the olde 2.6.15 kernel you may need to just
modprobe ide-disk
and then quit the busybox with ctrl+d
regards
Thanks a lot it worked !
But this bug is anoying and I don't want to do that for every debian I have to install ...
Is there a way to make it work once and for all ?
