I used kpdf to view pdf's I'm creating with LaTex, with the watch-option turned on. When a mistake appears in the LaTex code, pdflatex deletes the old pdf version, but does not create a new version. After fixing the LaTex error, a new version of the pdf with the original name is created. kpdf chokes on this sequence of events. Instead of automatically reopening the new pdf with the same name, I have to manually reopen the file using the menu. This behavior differs from the more desirable behavior of "gv", which automatically reopens the pdf, once it's been recreated. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-amd64 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages kpdf depends on: ii kdelibs4c2a 4:3.5.10.dfsg.1-1 core libraries and binaries for al ii libc6 2.7-16 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libfreetype6 2.3.7-2 FreeType 2 font engine, shared lib ii libgcc1 1:4.3.2-1 GCC support library ii libpaper1 1.1.23+nmu1 library for handling paper charact ii libqt3-mt 3:3.3.8b-5 Qt GUI Library (Threaded runtime v ii libstdc++6 4.3.2-1 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libxft2 2.1.12-3 FreeType-based font drawing librar Versions of packages kpdf recommends: ii kghostview 4:3.5.9-3 PostScript viewer for KDE Versions of packages kpdf suggests: ii khelpcente 4:4.0.0.really.3.5.9.dfsg.1-5 help center for KDE -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
