You need to to select and enable wallpaper for the desktop setting. Run 'pcmanfm --desktop-pref' you may get the desktop preference.
Despite these settings fluxbox desktop environment does not load the selected wallpaper neither the desktop icons. Instead, after each login, the pcmanfm --desktop-pref window shows up.
The only improvement: after checking the respective checkbox fluxbox context menu is working again (i.e. without the pacmanfm context menu showing up).
So it seams pcmanfm still conflicts with fluxbox settings. Thanks for your efforts. Greatings Michael
