Please paste the output of 'dpkg -l |grep b43'. It should be:


ii  b43-fwcutter                          1:014-4                           
Utility for extracting Broadcom 43xx firmware
ii  firmware-b43-installer                1:014-4                           
Installer package for firmware for the b43 driver


(in your first e-mail there was not 'firmware-b43-installer' package
listed but I don't know if reportbug does not show it or if it is
*really* not installed)
