It loads firmware without problems.

I don't know your laptop layout but I suspect you press a button or
switch something to turn on/off wifi.
Try in this way: after you turn off the wifi pressing button do
'modprobe -r b43 ssb' and then reload them with 'modprobe b43 ssb'
turn it on again and tell me what happens.
