Quick feedback: it works, although I am seeing some weird log-spewing when I run things like aptitude and apt-get search. I will persist, but it is a bit temperamental. Quick feedback II: I am getting bitten by a kernel-bug akin to some of these: [1][2] - and from what I can tell, it is not resolved yet. I need to look into where and how those locks get triggered and if there is something I can switch off in the kernel to work around it until the issue is fixed.
