-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello everyone,
I'm getting a bit discouraged (see below). I thought it would be simple to offer to volunteer helping in debian, specifically packaging 'meld' and other packages with only older versions debianized. It really shouldn't be this difficult. - -------- Original Message -------- Subject: Re: Fwd: debian packaging for meld Date: Thu, 31 Jan 2013 20:34:57 +0100 From: Sebastien Bacher <seb...@debian.org> To: Boruch Baum <boruch_b...@gmx.com> Le 31/01/2013 19:55, Boruch Baum a écrit : > Hi Sebastien, > > I've been attempting to volunteer help debian, as described in part > in the following e-mails, and have not had much success getting > progress. Can you be of any help to let me be of help? Hey, I'm not really involved in Debian packaging anymore either, you should probably try to contact that list: http://lists.debian.org/debian-gtk-gnome/ Sebastien Bacher - -------- Original Message -------- Subject: Fwd: Re: Re: debian packaging for meld Date: Wed, 30 Jan 2013 10:47:22 -0500 From: Boruch Baum <boruch_b...@gmx.com> To: pkg-gnome-maintain...@lists.alioth.debian.org Hi y'all, To summarize the e-mail transcript below, I expressed an interest to Ross Burton in a debian package for the newest version of meld, he hinted that I should package it myself, I did (and sent him my work), and I volunteered to help the debian gnome packaging team with other work, and he suggested I contact you directly. Would you like me to send you my packaging? YES, it IS based upon a checkout of svn://svn.debian.org/svn/pkg-gnome/packages/unstable/meld See below for a summary of my changes. As I said I'm not really a Debian developer these days (only in name). I believe Meld is co-maintained by the GNOME Packaging Team so you should contact them. This also means that the canonical location for the packaging will be in the pkg-gnome repository somewhere on Alioth.
