Hello. My name is Yaroslav and I'd like to participate in GSoC. As I'm interestied in topics like SOA, services/Web-services, ESB WSO2 organization and its ideas look greate for me.
So I would like to know, if any other student have already applied for proposal 2: Implement support for a binary protocol for the SOAP/REST service requests on WSO2 Application Server? If there were no other candidates for this idea, may be possible mentors can give me some advices or correct my current understanding of the problem. After a short look as I understand you would like to add another transport to WSO2 ESB (like already implemented HTML, JMS, TCP, etc...) and it shoud use one of binary protocols. This new transport can be added by using Axis2 transport framework. It is also possible to examine several binary protocols to define which one fits better. Is this correct for now? Any corrections/clarifications on the topic? I would appreciate any your advice. Best regards, Yaroslav Porshnev.
