Have you tried uninstalling, re-downloading and re-installing v1.6.21?  I'm
wondering if maybe you have a bad download or something.  You can indeed do
a factory reset by holding the power button when powering up the radio
until the LED turns white.  This will cause any stored data in the radio
(profiles, band settings, etc) to be lost, so you may want to do an export
of this information with a working version prior to doing the factory reset
if you would rather not lose that data.  Good luck and keep us posted.
