The Apache HttpComponents project is pleased to announce 5.3-alpha2 release of HttpComponents Core.
This is the second and likely the last ALPHA release in the 5.3 release series. It finalizes the API changes introduced in the previous ALPHA release and also improves Message Parsing APIs and client-side TLS defaults by making use of JSSE Endpoint Identification. Notable changes and features included in the 5.3 series: * Improved conformance to RFC 9110 and RFC 9112. * UTF-8 encoding to be used by default for text where appropriate. * Compatibility with Java Virtual Threads and Java 21 Runtime. * Message parsing API improvements and performance optimization * TLS client endpoints to make use of JSSE Endpoint Identification by default.
