Typically at upgrade time, we've found people add other things like virus scanners. If you did, this is likely your problem. Be sure to exclude the spool directory and all mailbox directories from any real-time or on-access scanners. Note: Even with these directories excluded, NAI products still cause a performance hit when using webmail.
